Landing Zone
Materials:
- 4 lolly sticks (popsicle sticks)
- Paint (optional)
- Ribbon and/or string
- Hot glue gun (ask a grown-up to help!)
- Glue sticks
Instructions:
- Build the frame: Your Scout Elf will glue the four lolly sticks together to make a square or rectangle-shaped frame. (They might even paint it their favourite colour first, red and green are always a hit!)
- Add the landing pad: Next, they’ll glue pieces of ribbon or string across the frame from side to side, creating colourful stripes for their landing area.
- Weave the magic: Then, your elf will weave more ribbon or string up and down through the first set, creating a criss-cross pattern. Glue each strip at the ends to keep it secure.
- Set the landing zone: Once finished, your Scout Elf will place their new landing pad wherever they’d like to “arrive” in the morning, maybe on the mantel, by the Christmas tree, or near the window ready for take-off!
